Miley Ray Cyrus's real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus. Born on November 23, 1992, in Franklin Tennessee the state of Tennessee, she was raised in Thompson's Station Tennessee by Tish Cyrus. The youngest of five siblings. She has two younger brothers and sisters. She was named by her parents since they wanted her to achieve success. Her childhood nickname, Smiley, due to her cheerful disposition and cheerful personality, eventually became Miley. Ron Cyrus was her grandfather. Cyrus was the first student at Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. At the age of eight, her family moved into Toronto, Canada, where Cyrus her dad Billy Ray took a role in the TV drama Doc (2001). Around this time, Cyrus also decided to take on the role of an actor. She played alongside her father, Doc (2001), in the first part of the film. In 2003, she starred in a minor role in Tim Burton's Big Fish. Cyrus played the title role for Hannah Montana (2007), an animated Disney TV show about the life of a girl who has an alternate life of the world's most famous. Her father appeared alongside her. The show was a huge success and tours sold out as well as hit record and merchandise deals were also in the pipeline. Cyrus quickly became a popular teenage phenomenon. After the huge success of Hannah Montana (2006), Cyrus began to move into other roles - including playing Ronnie Miller in The Last Song (2010) and Lola in LOL (2012) alongside Demi Moore.
